The Book Midwife is Mindy Gibbins-Klein. She founded a consulting company
in 2002 to provide personal and professional development services to people desiring
great changes in their lives. She found that a high proportion of her clients were
authors wanting to publish their books, and a very high proportion of those hadn't
achieved their goals. Mindy came to us to create an online brand, a logo and ultimately
build her a site which would act as a selling tool for her services.
With no initial web prescence, the requirements of this project were to start the
web prescence from the ground upwards. A new logo and online brand were required,
along with a website that would promote the services of The Book Midwife as well
as help promote (and ultimately retail) selected books and sell places at training
and mentoring events.
Maznet initially produced a selection of suitable logos incorporating key colours
and objects, such as books, pens, etc... as part of the branding exercise for The
Book Midwife.
Once a logo was chosen, three site templates were created and shown to Mindy, who
then made a decision as to which design she favoured the most, and which reflected
her business ideals.
